Equipped with 3 or 4 solid cushion warehouse tires that electric counterbalanced
warehouse lift trucks are recommended for use on a hard smooth surfaces
such as concrete. Solid cushion warehouse tires give these forklifts
a smaller turning radius than pneumatic tire forklifts and liftrucks.
Electric counterbalanced sit down model warehouse liftrucks are available
with three or four wheels. The wheel format is usually dependent upon
warehouse space requirements. A tighter turning radius can be found with
three-wheel electric forklifts than with their four-wheel warehouse liftruck
counterparts. This allows three and four-wheel electric counterbalanced
warehouse forklifts and liftrucks to operate in a smaller area.
The smallest three-wheel electric counterbalanced warehouse lifttruck
requires at least a 9' 9" aisle with 42" forks. The smallest
four-wheel electric counterbalanced warehouse forklift requires at least
a 10' 6" aisle with 42" forks.
Electric lift trucks of both three & four wheel types can be used
to load/unload trailers, box vans, & warehouse rack. Warehouse forklifts
such as electric counterbalanced sit down models can also be used to
stack pallets or various loads, as well as move pallets or loads around
a facility.
